3", round, showing the city skyline in the center, the Detroit river below it with "Detroit" on the waves, around the edge "G.F.W.C. 1935", stamped "Pewabic Pottery" on reverse. No chips, scratches, etc. Very good condition. An iridescent glaze of blues and purples. The G.F.W.C. was founded in 1890 to promote civic improvements through volunteer service. Some of its members included Eleanor Roosevelt, Frances Willard, Jane Addams, Julia Ward Howe, Margaret Chase Smith. A very attractive and SCARCE tile.
