No photographer listed. 3.5 x 5.5". Postally used, light wear and soiling else very good condition. Written in a contemporary hand on the front "Tower City" and in the lower corner "Will see you in Sept." Addressed to a friend in Otterville, Ontario. Shown is a young man leaning against a telephone pole next to the office of Dr. Garvey, other nearby businesses are a bakery, pool room, Central Drug Store, "Barn" (rest of sign not visible.) People and horse drawn buggies are also visible. This is almost four years before the devastating AuSable-Oscoda Fire of July 11, 1911 which destroyed many communities including Tower. The population the year before the fire was a healthy 800, by 1916 it was only 300. An extremely SCARCE postcard. Cheboygan county.
