The term of employment is for eight months starting on the first Monday of September 1915, pay will be $240.00. The contract details all of her duties including "to endeavor to preserve in good condition and order the school house, grounds, furniture..." Comes with: a typed letter (carbon) from the Alcona County Schools to Christina Stuart, dated August 25, 1914, with envelope. Oblong 5.25 x 8.25", fold creases, very good condition, envelope 3.5 x 6.5", postally used, soiled, edge tear. Letter was sent by Thomas B. Cook, Commissioner of Alcona County Schools who gave Miss Stuart her marks from her recent examination and expresses his regrets "Sorry that you did not get through...you may finish up next April and get credit for those that you passed this time." She had gotten low scores on two of eight subjects, arithmetic and government. The letter is signed by Cook. A total of three pieces, sold as a lot.
