Indenture between Onley Savill Onley of Stisted Hall Essex and William Davis King of Jenkyns Farms regarding the lease of Jenkyns Farm made on June 30, 1869, with notice of the surrender of the lease dated November 29, 1879

21 x 27.5", five sheets one of which is double sided, brown ink on vellum, wax seal, blue paper embossed ten shilling stamp and date stamp on each of the pages, red ten shilling stamp on one page, four black and white VR paper stamp. Folded in three and then folded in three again, light creasing and soiling, small area of soiling on one leaf. Jenkyns Farm (also referred to as Jenkins Farm) was part of Stisted Hall Estate which belonged to Onley Savill Onley. Very detailed as to what Davis was allowed or not allowed to do on Onley's land. An underlined passage "till the same in a husbandmanlike manner or lay the same down with Rye for feed or Clover or Rye Grass or sow peas beans or turnips or coleseed for feed when so laid down or sown with beans peas or turnips and such beans peas or turnips being twice well hoed..." "Also to gather up and stack in the Barns Outhouses Yards...all the corn grain pulse..."
