Vertical fold crease down the center, creasing, old sticker with date on corner, wear to spine, small tear along upper spine, contents have occasional light soiling else very good condition. Extremely well illustrated with black and white images. Interiors and exteriors of Greater Detroit, Greater Buffalo, photos of other ships in the fleet ie. City of Detroit III and their captains. Includes a history of Mackinac Island and brief histories of other cities on the route. Some of the Mackinac Island Hotel ads: Chippewa, Lake View, Iroquois, Northern and The Grand Hotel. Lots of nice ads (lots of Detroit) including a SCARCE image of the D&C dock at Detroit. Nice centerfold map showing the routes of the vessels through the Great Lakes with an inset of "Picturesque Mackinac Island". Contains all that one would need to know to travel to Mackinac Island and other locations. Of special interest are the covers, when extended, show the entire image of the Greater Detroit sailing with the bow filled with passengers, a beautiful color image by the Van Leyen Hensler Co.
