(St. Louis, MO), 1935. Item #99-6724

One page, 16.5 x 22.25", toned (esp. in center folds), folds, edge-wear, unevenly cut along right edge, a couple of old cello-tape repairs, large portion of bottom right corner removed, but laminated for preservation. Large ad for Camel cigarettes featuring the 1935 Detroit Tigers World Series champs, including photos of Bill Rogel, Jo-Jo White, Goose Goslin, four of Detroit's pitchers (incl. Schoolboy Rowe), and a lovely lady whose caption reads: "I also think that Camels are mild...Better for steady smoking." On reverse are stories about the Tigers vs. Cubbies, stats for the series (Gehringer hit .375!) Interesting.
