Wraps have chipping, tears, soiling, creased corners, spine covers splitting, missing small pieces, Part 1 has detached covers, Part 8 is disbound and lacks a front corner, contents have occasional soiling, some of the tissue guards have tears and creasing, overall very good condition. Text by Holden is entitled "The Story of Detroit" and gives a history of the city which continues through several of the parts. Some of the views: City Hall, Detroit International Exposition, St. Clair Club, Detroit Club, Hotel Cadillac, Union Depot, Campus Martius, St. Anne's Church, David Whitney residence, Cass Park, J.L. Hudson Building, Engine House 7 & 17, Schwankovsky Building, Belle Isle Police Station, Cass School. Many uncommon views of the downtown Detroit area. Wonderful images. Sold as is. Very SCARCE.
