Maurice Seymour: Chicago, 1940. Item #99-4599

Black and white, non-glossy, 13.5 x 10.5". Light wear and creasing, light soiling to reverse else very good condition. Andree Andrea, a platinum blonde dancer and model is seated wearing a skimpy black top with sparkly straps and trim. On the back is stamped "Andree Andrea Chicago, Ill." Below the stamp are two pasted-down newspaper clippings, one for her appearance in "Flying Down To Rio" at Detroit's Colonial Theatre and the other a photo with the caption "Goddess of Love". Brothers Maurice and Seymour Zeldman started the Maurice Seymour studio in 1929 at Chicago's St. Clair Hotel specializing in dancers, preferably ballet dancers. INSCRIBED AND SIGNED "To Louis Schlosser: A grand person hoping we meet soon again! Best wishes Andree Andrea "Goddess of Love" 1940"
