On the photograph "Laurence Susitna Station Alaska". Oblong 8 x 11", black and white. Light curling, creased corners, lacks one corner, light scratches in margins else good to very good. Shown in the photograph are several log buildings near the waterfront with men, boys and dogs wandering around, two of the structures are H.W. Nagley and Susitna Restaurant. Laurence Sydney was an American artist and photographer who settled in Alaska in 1903/1904 and established his photography business in Anchorage in 1915. More known for his paintings than his photographs, most of his photos are in museum collections. Even though this image is an early reprint it is still SCARCE and desirable.
