Three items from Detroit's Hotel Cadillac: Dinner fork, pickle fork, and a color postcard

Postcard: Pre-1910? 3.4 x 5.5", shows the hotel at the corner of Michigan Ave and Washington Blvd. Postally used but no cancellation date, a hand stamp dated 1959, light creasing and wear else good. Attractive postcard with sparkles along the edges of the building, message on the front reads "We are just going to see the ballgame between Detroit and Phil." Dinner fork: 7.5", stamped "Hotel Cadillac" on the front, on the reverse "Gorham Electroplate patented 1895", scratches, rubbing, wear, else good. Pickle fork: 6", stamped "Cadillac" on front, on back "1835 R Wallace A 1 Pat. 97", light wear and scratches, handle a little dented else good. The Hotel Cadillac was built in 1888 by tobacco mogul Daniel Scotten. This elegant hotel lasted until 1923 when it was torn down to make way for the even more elegant Book-Cadillac Hotel which still stands. Sold as a lot.
