Two items from Detroit's Hotel Barlum: Pickle fork stamped "Hotel Barlum Detroit" and a color postcard dated 1927, the year the hotel was built

Fork 6", International S Co. Triple, postcard 3.5 x 5.5". Fork has light wear and scratches else good, postcard postally used, light wear, lightly creased corners else good, shows the front of the building along Cadillac Square. The Hotel Barlum opened in February of 1927, 20 floors, 612 rooms each with its own private bath. It was a favorite of performers in Detroit. Notes on postcard indicate that they are staying at the hotel and went to Toledo the day before, and plan to go to Port Huron the next day. The Hotel Barlum, opened in 1927, has gone through several name changes due to financial problems, its last name was One Eleven Cadillac Square. It awaits renovation. Sold as a pair.
