57 double-page maps; other illus. include coins and one of Stonehenge, 13.25 x 8.5", half leather; marbled boards, 822pp; 233pp; Xxxx-Bbbbb7, covers heavily worn and soiled, front cover detached but present, extremities chipped, first and last few pp soiled and heavily toned (esp title page), MISSING pp300-301, several mispaginations, front fly creased and torn, scattered spotting and staining, bookplate of Walter Sweetman and inkstamped name inside front cover, map of Cantium torn vertically with rough edges, many of the maps with closely cut margins, some staining to upper fore corners of some pp and maps, still a decent, usable copy in need of a little TLC. Includes printed notice from Translator and the "Index or Table" at the end of the book.
