Round Bronze Plaque commemorating the 100th birthday of Walt Whitman, designed by R. Tait McKenzie for the Franklin Inn Club.

Cast in bronze by Riccardo Bertelli of NY. 5" diameter. Plaque shows the face of the poet on front with these words "Walt Whitman 1819-1919," "The Franklin Inn Club" with McKenzie's initials and the word "fecit" (made by). A few dark spots (removable with cleaning?) else very good. The Franklin Inn Club, founded in 1902, commissioned Dr. R. Tait McKenzie to design this commemorative item which debuted December 1919. A limited number was issued. . . Scarce.
