Oblong 9 x 11.5, decorative borders by Calvert Litho., black on cream background. Cancellation marks, toning/staining to left margin, light creasing. Certificate is addressed to the R.F. Wilson Company and is signed by company president Jon M. Edwards and the secretary J. R. Sterling. On the back, the stock is transferred to Tom L. Johnson who was company president in 1896. The railway company was founded in 1863 with the name of Detroit City Railway; in 1890 the name was changed to the Detroit Citizens Street Railway Company.
