WITH THE CUSTOM ILLUSTRATED BOOKPLATE: "MARY JANE HER BOOK" on the front fly, and the ink inscription "Mary Jane Jackson, Wardens Residence, Michigan State Prison, March 25th, 1931" on front blank. Mary Jane was obviously the daughter of warden Harry Jackson, Warden of the Michigan State Prison in Jackson from the mid-1920s to the mid-1930s.
