Eight aquatints, oblong 15 x 21, 3/4 ruled green leather, gilt ruled leather label with gilt lettering "The Psychely Hunt" on the front cover, five raised bands, gilt blindstamping in each of the six panels, light green boards, all edges gilt, plates are 9.5-10" and have been attached to the center of a thick cream colored paper and each has been outlined with gilt, a protective page in front of each one. Shelfworn, leather scuffed/scraped, boards soiled and scratched, bookplate of Harry Twyford Peters, a 1961 ink inscription, rear inner hinge cracked (not a surprise, covers are heavy) and last two blank pages loose, offsetting to corners of endpapers, light soiling to endpapers, plates have toning, soiling and staining, colors are bright and sharp. Attached to the front endpaper is a typewritten note: "Pytchley Hunt. A Distinguished Character in the Pchley (sic) Hunt (Dick Knight). 8 most beautifully colored plates, engraved by Jukes after drawings by C. Loraine Smith, inlaid and mounted on cardboard, Large folio, the excessively rare first issue, published March 31, 1790 by F. Jukes, much superior in impression to that issued some months later."
