Lincoln's home, photographer J.A.W. Pittman and the Memorial by J.F. Jarvis. Photo 6.25 x 4, mount 7 x 4.5, stereoview 3.5 x 7, yellow card. Spotting and light soiling to mount, corners bumped and worn, soiling and edgewear to stereoview with spotting on reverse, overall condition for both is good. On the back of the cabinet card a printed note has been attached that gives the history of the home and indicates that the building is in need of repair and should be placed ". . . under the control of some voluntary society. . . " The Emancipation Memorial also known as the Freedman's Memorial is located in the Capitol Hill area in Washington D.C. On reverse of the stereoview card is attached a printed piece of paper "Lincoln Monument. Lincoln Park." This memorial shows Lincoln and a kneeling, shackled slave. Sold as a pair.
