Unevenly trimmed, front has light soiling/scratches, revers is heavily soiled else good. Stamped on the back "Harman & Verner Bay City Art Gallery Corner Fourth & Washington Aves., Bay City, Mich. The Only Ground Floor Gallery in the State." Written in pencil over the stamp "Old Photographs" and "Mitchell family." Harman & Verner, a prosperous photography studio started up in 1875 and moved to the Fourth and Washington Avenues location in 1880. Three young boys, possibly between the ages of 6 and 12, posing with their bikes, manufacturer unknown. The two younger boys have bicycles with straight handlebars, the older boy has one with curved handlebars. Sharp, clear images.
