With TYPED NOTED SIGNED BY E. WILDER SPAULDING on US Department of State letterhead: "May 14, 1945 / General Holmes: / The attached Dumbarton Oaks album was prepared in a very small edition for the Secretary. Possibly you would be interested in having this copy." The note was addressed to Julius Holmes, once Asst Secretary of State and later US Ambassador to Iran. Lots of photos of Stettinius and Gromyko.
