159/159 plates (frontis + 76 in vol. I and 82 in vol. II)., 12 x 10, quarter leather with gilt decoration and lettering, raised bands, marbled boards and page edges, unpag. Cover well rubbed, darkened, corners bumped and worn, spine tips lacking all but one, scuffing/scraping, small tears on spine, shelfworn, inner hinges cracked, staining (mainly in volume I), spotting, toning, creasing, some smudging/soiling, small tears, lacks a few tissue guards, in volume I there's an ink stain on one plate, approx 7" diagonal tear and approx 1" margin tear on two pages in "Industry and Idleness," folding plate in volume II has small tears, chipping and toned edges, page edges faded on both else tight and good. "A New Edition, Revised and Corrected." Scarce.
