Some of the categories covered: rebellion, Jews, battles, sea-fight, earthquake, plague, famile, fire. Included is a perpetual almanac, table of latitudes and much more. From the "Advertisement:" John Burns, the author, was born deaf and dumb, in the town of Monaghan. . . but discovering uncommon sense and strong natural sagacity, he was taught to read and write . . . acquired a Knowledge in Arithmetick, Geography, History and Chronology . . .
