Articles on automatic telegraphy, Suez Canal, history of watchmaking in America, deep sea railroad bridges, etc. Some of the titles: "The Report of Colonel W.A. Roebling, Chief Engineer of the New York Bridge Co.," "History and Progress of Photography," "Use of Balloons in Warfare," "Proposed Tunnels Under the Detroit River," "The Pedespeed" (early version of the Segway).
