Sixteen engravings plus a foldout map of Dublin, 6 x 3.75, full green leather, gilt lettering on cover and spine, spine gilt-ruled, (i)-viii, (1)-373. Covers rubbed, scuffed/scraped, light staining, shelf worn, corners bumped and worn, spine tips worn and lacking small piece of lower edge, spine darkened a little, ink names of Wm. Bennett Hillington Feb. 20 1888, and Thomas Firbank, inner hinges cracked but covers tight, light toning to margins, creased corners, page 63 - 64 lacking lower corner tip, faint stain to lower margin of p 203, plate opp p 114 has a spot, plate opp p 186 has a smudge in the margin, tissue guards creased and toned, lacks two tissue guards, not all tissue guards are bound in all the way, map inside back cover is almost detached and has several tears, most of them along the folds, due to the thickness of the foldout map the book does not shut flat. Volume is tight, clean, complete with all illustr/pages, very good condition. This edition not in NUC not in BM. Very scarce. FIRST ED.
