Five color illustr + front cover. Oblong 3 x 4.25, blindstamped tan cloth with colorful illustr of a girl and boy on front cover, blindstamped decoration on back cover and black floral illustr on spine, unpag (58 pp). Covers very well worn, soiled, spotted, spine bumped and spine tips frayed, lacks free endpapers, title page and 1 illustr, a few small vertical tears, text block detached from rear cover and loosely attached to front cover, soiling, smudging, creasing, light staining. The five charming illustr show children at the seashore, having tea, in the garden, under an umbrella, playing with a jump rope. Most (not all) the pages are filled with entries from Florence's two grandmothers, her brother Walter, sister Mabel, her teacher and schoolmates. One of the best entries "May you ever sail calmly down the river of time like a bobtail chicken on a sweet potato vine." Variant of Schuster & Egan 465. Not in NUC. Sold as is.
