8 x 5, gilt ruled polished calf, 253 pp, covers rubbed, small gouge on front cover near spine, extremities bumped and worn, spine darkened and rubbed, covers detached but present, contents in decent shape. LIMITED TO 150 NUMBERED COPIES ON HOLLAND PAPER. WITH EUGENE FIELD’S BOOKPLATE. ATTACHED TO FRONT FLY IS MANUSCRIPT COPY OF THE POEM "FANCHON THE CRICKET" IN EUGENE FIELD’S HAND (soiled, darkened, bottom portion detached at fold, with small tear at bottom margin) with manuscript note from Eugene Field’s son Eugene II dated May 8, 1919. Also with manuscript poem "Little Boy Blue" written in ink on front blanks and signed by Eugene II dated Oct. 22, 1926. Also, with ink note on rear blank from Eugene II stating: "This copy of the large paper limited edition of 'The Love Affairs of a Bibliomaniac' was added to my fathers [sic] library by my mother, in order to complete the collection of his published works," dated Sept. 2, 1923. Eugene died in 1895, and his son lived for years after signing his father’s name (and other personalities’ names) to various books.
