Book of driver's sales slips from the Albert Brewing Company of Detroit, formerly known as the West Side Brewery.

Detroit, 193__. Item #98-3692

7 x 4.25, half inch thick, unused sales slips start at 4855-1 and end at 4855-50, plain unmarked covers. Light soiling and creasing to covers and contents, a few slips have some staining else very good. Albert Brewing Company, 1933-1938, was originally the West Side Brewing Company. The original brewery managed to survive Prohibition by the sale of non-alcoholic beverages with its Mundus line. After Prohibition, West Side was renamed Mundus Brewing Company and Albert Brewing Company, both dating from 1933-1938. Albert was named after one of its investors who died before he could taste his beer, debuting in December 1936. Internal struggles and declining sales caused the brewery to cease operation. Address printed on the sales slips is 1736 Howard, located between 10th and 12th streets. Scarce.
