Foredge, text illustr, 5.25 x 3.25, blind tooled red straight grain goatskin, gilt decorations and ruling on covers, raised bands, gilt ruled panelling on spine with gilt decorations with gilt illustr of a ship on three of the panels, gilt lettering, inner dentelles gilt, all edges gilt, 288pp, 267pp plus advertisements. Rubbed, shelfworn, outer and inner hinges cracking, covers loose, some scuffing/scraping, shelfworn, corners and spine tips bumped and worn, lower spine edges missing small pieces, gilt rubbed, some darkening to page edges, endpapers chipped and missing small pieces, scattered light spotting to pages else good. VOLUME I FOREDGE SHOWS ROBINSON CRUSOE ON THE BEACH WITH HIS DOG AND VOLUME II FOREDGE SHOWS THREE MEN BEING ATTACKED BY THE NATIVES. VERY RARELY DO FOREDGES RELATE TO THE SUBJECT MATTER OF THE BOOK.
