Overall, the condition is good, some issues are very good. In the February 1900 journal is an article titled "The Automobile and the Horse" which states ". . . we believe that horseless vehicles have come to stay, but tht they will in no way curtail the number of horses to stay, but tht they will in no great way curtail the number of horses in use. Horseless carriages will, we believe to some extent become a fad to be put aside when the novelty of the thing worn off, and the dear old horse will be called to again assume and retain his old accustomed place." Eventually, blacksmithing trade publications began selling automobile repair books to its readers so they could add this skill to their repertoire as they already had the tools and it would be a steady source of income. "The Horseshoers' Journal" contains many informative articles, convention notes, updates on donations to the victims of the San Francisco earthquake etc. Loads of interesting ads.
