Ex-lib, covers worn, rubbed, soiled, corners worn, leather scuffed/scraped, black tape covers entire spine area, hinges tender, light staining and waviness, soiling, smudging, creasing, text block cracked, loose signatures, small pieces missing out of margins (doesn’t interfere with text), tears (several are horizontal and go all the way across the page), one page archivally repaired, ad cut out of one page, pencil scribble on a couple of blank pages at rear. There are at least 10 zeppelin/airship articles and these are of particular interest: "Rufus Porter and His 'Flying Ship,' " "Motor Baloon Guns. Automobile vs. Airship," "America's First Aviation Meet at Los Angeles," (these all have nice illustrations), "An Aerial Torpedo," "Wooden Frames for Airships." Other non-airship articles "Automobile Fire Engines. A New Type of Motor Vehicle," "How to Escape from a Sunken Submarine," "The Motor Car and the Road. The Destructive Effect of High Speed." January 15 is the "Automobile Number" and has a color front cover and full page color auto ad on the reverse. Lots of b&w car ads. Plus much more. Sold as is.
