11 x 8.5, brad-bound wraps, 119 leaves mimeographed on rectos only + 7 leaf "Master Shooting Schedule" + approx 70 leaves of scene resumes in order of which they were shot, covers worn, soiled and edge chipped, contents worn, finger soiled, but still a fascinating script. Lindsley Parsons Production #501, the film starring Anne Baxter, Sterling Hayden, John Hoyt and Jesse White, and their phone numbers and agents are listed on a cast list inside front cover. Purchased with a group of other scripts once owned by the famed studio press agent Russell Birdwell, who directed this epic. The script contains annotations, "crossouts," alternate dialog and directions written in pencil by Birdwell. It would be interesting to compare this script with the actual final product.
