Well illustr, 16 x 11.5, half leather w/ marbled boards, 627 pp. Covers poor, lacking spine cover, almost disbound, pencil numbers on endpapers, intermittent pencil scribbles, text block cracked, loose signatures and pages, tears, scattered spotting, waterstaining, soiling, pieces missing out of margins, fold creases, a few of the illustr colored in, burn holes on a couple of pages, chunks missing out of pages 479-482, lackes pages 135-138 and 291-292, pages 159-162 bound in after age 154, pages 327-328 lacking upper corner area and affects the text, last two pages defective, however the majority of book is clean and good. Nice double page map of China, items on Dickens, Dumas and other authors, story on moosehunting in Canada, lots of stories on India and China. Sold as is.
