Engravings, 8.25 x 5.25, cloth, xxiv, 376 pp. Later covers with probably original spine label, covers well worn, rubbed, shelfworn, corners bumped and worn, spine label torn, chipped and missing small pieces, replacement endpapers, lacking (?) pages prior to frontis and after last page, becoming disbound at front inner hinge, frontis almost detached, scattered spotting and staining, text block cracked, signatures/pages loose, a few creased corners, large tear to p 129/130, small tears. "The Second Edition." Printed inscription on frontis with recipient's name filled in with printed signatures of both Bewick and his son, printed thumbprint of Bewick "his mark." NUMBER 134 OF A LIMITED PRINTING AND SIGNED BY THOMAS BEWICK.
