Illust, 10.5 x 8, pict stapled wraps, unpag (12 pp). Spine has some wear, horizontal crease else good. Comes with a newspaper clipping showing Miss Detroit of 1948, Evelyn Johnson, applying for a marriage license with her fiance, Navy Lt. George Leach along with a wedding invitation in original envelope and outer envelope in which it was mailed (stamps removed from outer envelope which has light soiling). On last day of pageant week the contestants formed a parade up Woodward Avenue to the Fox Theatre where the competition was held. Lots of nice local ads: Hotel Book-Cadillac, Charles Huber (official Photographer of the pageant), Wonder Bar, Mary Morgan, Louis Rose DeSoto. Program lists the vital statistics, photos, tally sheet for Judges, Committee Auditors, board of directors. Scarce.
