Stock Certificate Book for Edison Cement Corporation, New Jersey 1931-1937.

Item #97-6594

Oblong 9.25 x 17, two tone cloth with gilt lettering, extremities bumped and worn, hinges loose else a nice item. Originally housing 100 numbered stock certificates for Common Stock, with tissue guards, missing nos. 1-6 (though registered on stub), with a handful cancelled and glued back onto stubs, a few stubs and the rest blank and unused. Edison Cement was used in a variety of projects including Yankee Stadium. The first few certificates (not present) were issued to Charles Edison, Thos. Edison's son, Secry of the Navy and governor of NJ; also issued to Henry Lanahan (Edison's attorney), Harry F. Miller (Edison's secretary), all for1 share apiece. Interesting item: not the light bulb, but still important.
