Two Photo Postcards of Durand: Saginaw Street and Grand Trunk Western Passenger Depot.

5.5 x 3,5, both postally used. Creasing, soiling, light/moderate wear, staining on the depot card. The Saginaw Street card shows a variety of shops lining the wide street (drugstore, meat market, etc.) with horsedrawn buggies tied up in front, published by George W. Beck. The second card shows trains arriving and departing from the depot, loaded luggage carts, passengers, published by the Illust. Post Card Co., NY and this is #4647. Durand, located in Shiawassee County, was named for George H. Durand, a congressman from the 6th District. It was incorporated as a village in 1887 and became a city in 1932. Sold as a pair.
