One leaf, 7 x 4.5, laid paper, folds, some discolor and soil else nice and bright. Cruikshank writes: "that you will please [?] a proof of the encgraving of that picture -- from Dear Sir Charles, Yours greatly obliged. . . " AND BOLDLY SIGNED GEO. CRUIKSHANK. At bottom, Cruikshank writes out "The Honorable Sir Charles B. Phipps RCB." On reverse is noted in a beautiful hand "G. Cruikshank Sending Proof of his Worship of Bacchus. . . " Phipps was a royal insider and once private secretary to Prince Albert. Neat item.
