Aluminum Token for Borden's.

1 x 1". Hole punched near top edge. Moderately worn and scratched. Stamped on one side "Borden's Detroit" and on the other "Good for $1.00 Returned with Can." According to Cunningham's "Michigan Trade Tokens" this token is likely a deposit on an 8 or 10 gallon shipping can. Borden's was a dairy whose mascot was the well-known Elsie the Cow.
