Illustr, 10 x 8, gilt ruled half leather, marbled page edges, 924 pp. Almost totally disbound, "replacement" spine of tape and paper, covers faded, well worn and fraying, leather chipped, scraped and worn, marbled edges faded, contents are water stained (mainly along foredge), torn, creased, spotted, soiled, chipped, most of the defects appear near front and rear, loose pages, mispagination. A few pages on slavery in Michigan, a brief history of each of Michigan units in the Civil War: Infantry, Engineers and Mechanics, Cavalry, Artillery and the 1st Michigan Colored Infantry. Although well used the majority of the pages are clean, book is a good research copy. Sold as is.
