Book Bank from the National Bank of Detroit.

Detroit, nd (1930s?). Item #96-9501

Green vinyl covers with name of bank and decorated on front and "your future" and "thrift" on the spine -- all in gilt, inside is a white plastic "book" with a lock and bank name etc. in gilt. Light soiling, scratches and some gilt fading to covers, "book" is soiled, scratched, crack near lock, some abrasions, missing a small piece on bottom eafge, no key. Manufactured by the Book-Coin Bank, M.A. Gerett Corp., Milwaukee, Wisc.
