INSCRIBED & SIGNED BY MARY ANDERSON: "To My Dearest Antonio, with much love." Obviously to her husband (or, soon-to-be husband Antonio de Navarro: they married in 1890). Anderson, a famous American actress, toured Europe in the 1870s-1880s before retiring to England at the age of 28. She returned to the English stage briefly during WWI to raise money for War charities. Scarce item, scarce signature.
