Robinson: London 1793. 9 x 5", 3/4 leather w/marbled boards, raised bands, i-xxxix, 41-391pp, later covers & eps, worn, scuffed, outer hinges worn, corners bumped, pencil notes inside, name stamp on title, ink notes, soiling, spotting, creasing. Vaughan, an MP in England, was a sympathizer of France and close friend of Benjamin Franklin. He later fled to France, and was there hunted by revolutionaries (reportedly, Robespierre intervened when he was discovered). He died in Boston in 1835. 2nd edition.
