Spine rebacked with leather and has raised bands and labels w/title and date, new end papers and blank pages. Startys with preface. Lacking title page and any pages prior to preface, pp31-32 in "Characters" and the last part of "Contents". Pages have some spotting, taining, smudging and soiling. Corners missing from fpour pages and a piece from the side margin of two pages. Deals with current events both European and American, doings of British Royalty, the usual births and deaths, natural history and basic information such as crime reports and tavern fires.
