Docketed and signed by Edward Pynchon, as Registar in 1773. Pynchon, an eminent judge, was a decendant of William Pynchon, a founder of Springfield, MA, who returned to England in 1652 following a scandal regarding his book opposing the Calvinistic view of atonement.
