N.p. (New Haven) 1850-51. Engraved portraits, 8 x 6", gilt-ruled leather, a.e.g., well worn, extremities bad, hinges starting, contents darkened, foxed and stained. Over 100 signed inscriptions to a James Spence of La Fayette, Iowa, with portraits of many faculty members, bound with CATALOGUE OF THE OFFICERS AND STUDENTS IN YALE COLLEGE 1850-51. 48pp., One of the signers was J. Walker Fearn, who would go on to be on of the CSA's most travelled (Madrid, Paris, Cuba, Mexico, Russia) diplomats, then Pres. Cleveland’s minister to Greece, Rumania and Servia.
