Backed with blue cotton and with blue borders & knotted fringe. Below the wings are painted the words "Camp Cody" and "Deming N.M". Eage is resting on a box containing these words: "When the golden sun is sinking, And your mind from troubles free, While of others you are thinking, Will you sometimes think of me". Either side of box is bordered with a U.S. flag. Below the box is a rifle and a cannon barrel crossed over each other and then over an anchor and a sword. 18.5 x 17" plus fringe. N.d. Creasing from being folded into quarters. Light soiling to front. Backing is moderately soiled, lightly stained and one quarter has some fading. A nice commerorative piece.
