WITH 81 FULL PAGE COLOR PLATES OF FERNS; plates in volume two are especially nice and bright. SCARCE! NOT IN NUC. WITH AUTOGRAPH LETTER SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR, DANILE C. EATON ON HIS LETTERHEAD, Dated June 25, 1879, 7 x 4.5", folds, soiling, repaired at top; to a Mr. Bassett, regarding identifying "Liparis Liliifolia", and thanking the recipient for kind words about "my fern book.
