Some of the poems: William Dunbar "The Thistle And The Rose", Alexander Scott "Rondel Of Love", Robert Henryson "Moralitis". George Bannatyne compiled an anthology of Scots poetry while isolating during the plague of 1568, it eventually turned into 800 folio pages. From the preface: "The editor...has studied to make such a selection as might illustrate the manners and history, as well as the state of the language and poetry of Scotland during the sixteenth century".
