Illus., 6 x 4", green patterned boards, 46pp, covers worn, extremities bumped, spine ends chipped, some staining to lower forecorner of front cover, former owner's bookplate inside front cover, pp a bit toned with some scattered finger soiling. SCARCE. The title character comes to the US with only $3 in his pocket, and was unable to read or write. He became a success in the grocery game using Burroughs adding machines.
