10.5 x 7", pict stapled wraps, 8pp. Light soiling and creasing else good. During the Revolutionary War, the British loyalists fled Cambridge, abandoning their homes and church. Late in 1775 Martha Washington requested a service at the abandoned Christ Church. It took place on New Year's Eve and attended by the General and his wife and other high ranking official and their wives came to pray that King George III would come to his senses "Open his eyes and enlighten his understanding..." The church later became a barracks for the Continental Army. SCARCE.
