Folding maps, 8.5 x 5.5", first volume in original leather; second volume recently rebound in half leather; marbled boards, 453pp + ads; 460pp + errata, first volume a bit worn, outer hinges starting, extremities bumped, former owner's ink inscription (dated 1823) inside front cover, ink library numbers on front fly, bookworming through first 30pp of volume one (in lower margin), volume two with waterstaining across top of textblock throughout book; still a decent, if mis-matched set. SCARCE. Illegitimate son of James II, he fought for the Irish and the French against the English after his father was deposed in 1688.
